Islamabad, The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has introduced a special provision to support female pilgrims who have recently lost their parents or husbands, facilitating their participation in this year’s Hajj.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the official notification from the Ministry allows these female pilgrims to seek permission for Hajj from their nearest Mehrum. The eligible Mehrum, as defined in the notification, can include sons, paternal or maternal uncles, grandfathers, or nephews. This measure is a compassionate response to ensure that women facing the loss of close family members can still embark on the spiritually significant journey of Hajj.
