Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, DCO agree to enhance cooperation in IT sector

Islamabad, November 21, 2021 (PPI-OT):The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication and Digital Cooperation Organization have agreed to enhance cooperation and collaboration in the tiled of IT among member countries. This was agreed in a joint statement issued in Islamabad today [Sunday] at the end of the three-day inaugural visit to Pakistan by Secretary-General of DCO Deemah AlYahya.

It was also agreed to make efforts to promote public-private partnership, provide digital facilities in urban and rural areas, and to provide investment opportunities for IT professionals. It was also announced that the “Pakistan Innovation Challenge” which will enable one million Pakistan students to learn digital skills by 2022.

The DCO, consisting of 7 founding member countries aims to benefit from each other’s experiences, and provide technical requirements for their citizens and enable market opportunities from their collective populations of 500 million people.
