Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has stated that hosting the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s (SCO) Council of Heads of Government meeting has significantly enhanced Pakistan’s global stature.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during an interview with PTV, Minister Tarar described the SCO summit as a testament to Pakistan’s successful foreign policy. He noted that the world is now recognizing Pakistan’s potential and its strategic role in regional dynamics.
The Minister emphasized Pakistan’s contributions to key global issues such as climate change, sustainable development, counter-terrorism, and economic policies, highlighting that the SCO meeting underscored Pakistan’s commitment to fostering investment, trade, peace, and security. He expressed confidence that the benefits of hosting the SCO summit would be long-lasting for the country.
Tarar also mentioned that the dignitaries visiting for the SCO summit were appreciative of Pakistan’s role in the region and pointed to improving economic indicators, predicting more positive developments in the near future.
