Karachi: Provincial Minister for Development and Planning Sindh, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, has issued a stern warning to officers responsible for the delayed completion of ongoing development schemes across the province, emphasizing the importance of adhering to scheduled timelines.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Sindh, the minister expressed his dissatisfaction during a high-level P and D meeting held in his office, where he was joined by P and D Chairman Najam Ahmad Shah, Special Secretary Zubair Ahmed Chana, and other senior officers. Minister Shah criticized the delays in development projects and reiterated the government’s commitment to quality and timely execution. He highlighted that any failure to meet the deadlines would result in strict departmental actions.
The meeting reviewed various projects, including rural development and model villages under the SFERP schemes, and underscored the urgency of completing all projects efficiently to alleviate public inconvenience and prevent financial overruns. Additionally, the meeting addressed the need for improvements in the parking systems around major shopping areas like Zainab Market to enhance accessibility and revenue collection.
