Islamabad: Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, emphasized the critical role of technical training in enhancing the capabilities of telecom operators in Pakistan. This statement was made during a meeting with Jia Rong Low, Chief Executive Officer of the Asia Pacific Network Information Center (APNIC) from Singapore.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions focused on capacity building for telecom operators. CEO Jia Rong Low briefed Minister Khawaja on APNIC’s operations and expressed a desire to initiate a networking training program specifically tailored for telecom operators in Pakistan. Both parties agreed to develop a comprehensive plan for this training initiative.
In a separate meeting, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Germany, Saqlain Syedah, discussed with Minister Khawaja the ongoing relations between Pakistan and Germany in the IT and telecommunications sectors. They explored ways to facilitate Pakistani IT companies in Germany, aiming to strengthen bilateral cooperation in technology and innovation.
