Minister Salik Hussain Stresses Women’s Crucial Role in Promoting Awareness at Cairo Conference


Cairo: Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Pakistan’s Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, emphasized the pivotal role of women in fostering awareness across various societal sectors during his speech at the 35th International Conference on the role of women in Cairo, Egypt on Saturday.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Hussain lauded the contributions of women in tackling issues like religious intolerance and enhancing global peace. He pointed out that Islam particularly recognizes the efforts of women in disseminating knowledge, promoting virtue, and maintaining justice.



Hussain also discussed the essential role of religious awareness in building mutual respect and understanding among different communities, noting women’s transformative impact in this field. He highlighted the historical importance of women in religious education and their influence in guiding families and communities on spiritual matters.



Additionally, the Minister praised Egypt’s contributions to Islamic scholarship, particularly lauding Al-Azhar University for its role in advancing Islamic studies and promoting a deeper comprehension of the faith.
