Minister Rana Tanveer Commits to Supporting Farmers in Faisalabad

Faisalabad, Rana Tanveer Hussain, Minister for National Food Security, has assured continued government support for farmers, particularly in the procurement of wheat, during a press briefing in Faisalabad today. His statements come amidst growing concerns among the agricultural community regarding economic challenges and procurement processes.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Hussain emphasized the government’s commitment to the agricultural sector and the welfare of farmers. He confirmed that the Federal Government, through the Pakistan Agricultural Storage and Services Corporation (PASSCO), will persist in its efforts to procure wheat directly from farmers, addressing key issues such as timely payments and potentially increasing procurement targets as necessary.
