Minister Praises Leadership for Preserving Cultural and Literary Institutions

Islamabad: Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Muhammad Aurangzeb Khichi, has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Senator Irfan ul Haq Siddiqui for their dedication to safeguarding Pakistan’s cultural and literary institutions.

Khichi commended the Prime Minister’s decision to reject proposals aimed at dissolving or merging key national literary, historical, and cultural bodies. This decision, he stated, has provided significant reassurance to the country’s literary figures, artists, and cultural advocates.

He highlighted the Prime Minister’s vision of not only preserving these institutions but also reforming and expanding them to adapt to contemporary needs, emphasizing the commitment to protect Pakistan’s cultural heritage and intellectual traditions.

The Minister also acknowledged Senator Siddiqui’s role in effectively communicating the concerns of the literary and academic communities to the Prime Minister, ensuring their voices were heard.

Khichi reaffirmed the Ministry’s dedication to enhancing the functionality and reach of these institutions, with the aim of connecting younger generations to their cultural heritage, in alignment with the Prime Minister’s directives.
