Minister of State for IT Shaza Fatima Outlines Priorities for IT Sector Development

Islamabad, At the inauguration of the Pak-Qatar IT Tower, Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja declared the uplift of the IT sector as a governmental priority, celebrating the new investment by the Pak-Qatar Group as a step towards enhancing Pakistan’s IT infrastructure.

According to Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Minister Khawaja described the vast opportunities available to the youth in today’s technological age and outlined the government’s ambitious National Digitalization Plan aimed at digitizing the economy, governance, and societal functions to boost transparency and public facilitation.

She also spoke at the inauguration of Mars BPO, noting the strategic importance of the BPO sector and its potential to generate significant employment opportunities for Pakistan’s large youth population. The Minister reaffirmed the government’s support for foreign direct investment in IT, highlighting the conducive environment for such investments and the strong bilateral ties with Qatar.
