Islamabad: The Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, presided over the 45th R & D Fund Policy Committee meeting, where a budget release of Rs. 599.29 million for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2024-25 was approved for Ignite Company. The meeting, held on Monday, also saw discussions on project timelines and the organization of an e-sports competition featuring locally developed games.

According to Press Information Department, the meeting included Secretary IT Zarrar Hasham Khan and Special Secretary IT & Telecom Division Azfar Manzoor. Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja emphasized the importance of adhering to project timelines and directed the management of Ignite to focus on short-term projects to ensure timely completion. She also instructed the organization to arrange an e-sports competition to showcase games developed locally, underscoring a commitment to promoting domestic technological innovations.

During the meeting, Ignite authorities presented an overview of ongoing and future projects. The committee also confirmed the minutes from the previous meeting, ensuring continuity in strategic planning and project execution.
