Islamabad: Minister of State and Frontier Regions, Engineer Amir Muqam, commended the restraint shown by law enforcement during a recent PTI protest in the capital, criticizing the opposition’s efforts to incite violence. At a press conference on Monday, Muqam highlighted the government’s ongoing commitment to national development under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Muqam denounced the PTI’s unsuccessful attempt to involve Pashtuns in violent acts within Islamabad and expressed dismay over the strategies employed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, whom he likened to a movie villain. He warned government officials in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa against participating in actions detrimental to the nation, emphasizing the consequences of such involvement.
The minister also paid tribute to police constable Abdul Hameed Shah, who was martyred, and expressed solidarity with other injured officers, hoping for their swift recovery. Engineer Muqam reiterated his support for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s policies, which he believes are steering Pakistan towards a brighter, more prosperous future.
