ISLAMABAD, The Minister for Privatisation, Fawad Hasan Fawad, conducted a meeting today with potential Financial Advisors for the Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PIACL) transaction. The discussions centered around the financial and organizational restructuring of PIA, among other related topics.
According to the Ministry of Privatisation, the meeting saw participation from forty-two attendees, encompassing both local and international advisory firms. These attendees took part in the session both in-person and virtually, convened at 1700 PST. Throughout the course of the meeting, the Minister fielded various questions posed by the participants. These queries pertained to a range of subjects linked to the PIA financial advisory Request For Proposal (RFP). Specific areas of interest included the divestment timeframe, the availability and provision of data to the successful bidder, and other related matters.
Accompanying Minister Fawad during the session were notable officials, including the Secretary of the Privatisation Division, the Secretary of the Privatisation Commission, the Director General (DG), and consultants.
