Islamabad: Attaullah Tarar, the Minister for Information and Broadcasting, extended his congratulations to the newly elected office-bearers of the Islamabad High Court Journalists’ Association, emphasizing the critical role of journalists in society.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Tarar reiterated the government’s commitment to upholding freedom of expression. He acknowledged the essential function journalists serve in disseminating accurate information to the public.
Tarar highlighted the significance of court reporting within journalism, noting that journalists, much like lawyers, must possess a strong understanding of legal matters.
He expressed confidence that the new leaders of the association would effectively carry out their duties and enhance the standards of journalism.
