Islamabad, Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema has reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to enhancing its bilateral relationship with China during discussions with a visiting delegation from the Chinese International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA).
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting also included the presence of the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong. Minister Cheema expressed condolences for the recent tragic events in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and outlined the steps being taken by the government to improve security for Chinese officials in Pakistan. The dialogue covered a range of issues, focusing on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), post-flood reconstruction efforts, and other significant collaborative projects aimed at improving the livelihoods of people in both countries.
CIDCA Chairman Zhaohai acknowledged the warm reception and thanked the Pakistani government for a recent civil award, highlighting the strong and comprehensive portfolio of bilateral cooperation. Both parties expressed optimism about the future, underscoring the importance of continued partnership and planning more technical discussions to further deepen ties.
