Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has denounced the recent protest by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) at D-Chowk, labeling it a direct assault on the state’s integrity. According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Tarar expressed his concerns via a message on X, questioning the motives behind PTI’s “symbolic protest” and the demands of its participants. He criticized the PTI’s governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, accusing them of neglecting their duties and achieving negligible results in service delivery.
The minister’s sharp critique reflects the government’s stance on opposition protests, framing them as destabilizing rather than constructive political discourse.
