Islamabad: In a ceremony marking World Day against Child Labour, Minister for Human Rights Azam Nazeer Tarar called for unified efforts to eliminate child labor. He highlighted the necessity of raising awareness about children’s rights as a fundamental step toward addressing the issue.
At the event, the Minister announced the establishment of the Child Protection Institute, a new initiative aimed at safeguarding children’s rights across the nation. He also introduced a dedicated helpline, 1121, operational in the Islamabad Capital Territory. This service provides a platform for citizens to report any instances of child mistreatment.

The Minister’s statements underscore a pressing need for communal responsibility in addressing and eradicating child labor, aiming to secure a safer and more equitable environment for future generations.
