Military Honors for Martyred Soldiers in Peshawar Following Clash with Terrorists

Islamabad, The funeral prayers for five Pakistani soldiers, who were martyred in a fierce encounter with terrorists in the Bagh area of Khyber District, were conducted at the Peshawar Garrison today. The soldiers had been involved in a critical operation against terrorist elements in the region.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, the deceased included Sepoy Taimoor Shaheed, Sepoy Nadir Sagheer Shaheed, Sepoy Muhammad Yaseen Shaheed, Lance Naik Syed Danish Afkar Shaheed, and Naik Ashfaq Butt Shaheed. The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, along with other high-ranking military and civil officials, attended the solemn event, paying their respects to the bravery and sacrifice of the fallen soldiers.

Following the funeral, General Munir visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Peshawar to check on the condition of other troops wounded in the same operation. He commended their morale and reiterated the nation’s firm resolve to combat terrorism with unwavering determination.

The martyrs will be laid to rest with full military honors in their respective hometowns, ensuring that their ultimate sacrifice for national security is fittingly honored.
