Met Office Anticipates Rain, Thunderstorms Across Regions

Islamabad: The national meteorological service has announced that a significant weather system is expected to bring rain, wind, and thunderstorms to various parts of the country from March 25 to 27, with potential hailstorms and snowfall in elevated areas.

The Met Office has indicated that a robust westerly wave will likely enter the western and upper regions of the country by March 24, impacting central and upper areas during the following days.

Widespread rain, wind, and thunderstorms, along with snow in mountainous regions, are forecasted for Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, with a few heavy showers anticipated.

Additionally, areas including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra, and Abbottabad may experience similar weather patterns, with the possibility of hailstorms and heavy rainfall.

In Murree, Galliyat, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Hafizabad, and Gujranwala, rain and thunderstorms are expected, accompanied by occasional hailstorms.

The weather update was disseminated by Pakistan Television, urging residents in the affected regions to stay informed and take necessary precautions.
