Men in plainclothes damage apple orchard in Shopian

Srinagar, September 03, 2023 (PPI-OT): Unknown persons, believed to be Indian forces’ agents, damaged apple orchards stretched for over ten Kanals besides fruit worth 1500 apple boxes in the Shopian district of south Kashmir. During the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, these men in plainclothes damaged chopped trees and damaged the fruit of more 1500 apple boxes in the Wachawhallan area of Imam Sahib Belt in Shopian.

“We woke up in the morning to find our apple orchards had been damaged by unknown persons. The apples were on the ground and taken down forcibly off the trees,” said one of the victims. He said that the orchards that were damaged belonged to two civilians; Abdul Aziz Mir and Gulzar Ahmed Mir.
