Members of Sindh Provincial Assembly visit Lahore Fort 

Lahore, September 16, 2021 (PPI-OT):Advisor to Chief Minister on Tourism Asif Mehmood has welcomed Members of Sindh Provincial Assembly to Lahore Fort. DG Archaeology Ilyas Gill and Director Archaeology Maqsood Ahmad briefed the members of Provincial Assembly of the rich history of the fort and Mughals. Speaking on the occasion, the Advisor thanked the members of assembly for visiting Lahore and especially Lahore Fort and Iqbal Tomb.

He said, it’s a positive step taken as this will help in exchange of cultures from other provinces as well. Such good initiatives must be taken occasionally for the promotion of tourism, he added. Meanwhile, Nusrat Seher Abbasi said, the fort is beautifully preserved and the history of Lahore speaks for itself while visiting the fort. The members appreciated the preservation work done by Archaeology directorate and thanked the advisor and DG for inviting them to one of the historic.
