Members of National Assembly Gain Insight into Disaster Management at NEOC


Islamabad: A delegation of Members of the National Assembly visited the National Emergencies Operation Center (NEOC) at NDMA Headquarters, where they received a strategic briefing from Chairman NDMA, Lt. Gen Inam Haider Malik HI(M), on Pakistan’s proactive disaster management strategies and its status as a leader in anticipatory disaster preparedness.



According to Press Information Department, the parliamentarians were introduced to NDMA’s Disaster Early Warning and Technology Ecosystem, featuring operational dashboards, digital portals, and real-time monitoring tools. These capabilities, which are indigenously developed, focus on anticipatory action and nationwide disaster risk mitigation through whole-of-government coordination.



The delegation was shown Lens Pakistan 2026, a tool providing high-resolution disaster forecasts, and the Global Disaster Lens 2026, which monitors international climate trends. The visit also marked the launch of the Global Disaster Early Warning App, offering the public real-time alerts and guidance. Discussions included international cooperation initiatives and legislative measures to enhance disaster management capacities. The visit concluded with a commitment to advancing national resilience and disaster readiness.
