Mehbooba shocked over lynching of youth by cow vigilantes

Srinagar, June 24, 2021 (PPI-OT):Asserting that it is shocking that a 20-year-old youth was lynched to death by cow vigilantes in Rajouri district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti has said that such things were previously unheard in the territory.

In a tweet Mehbooba urged Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to ensure that culprits are punished and the family of the victim is taken care of. “Shocked to know that a 20 year old man was lynched to death by cow vigilantes in Rajouri. He leaves behind a paralyzed father and three sisters. Such things were previously unheard of in JandK,” she wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.

In a shocking incident, a youth, identified as Aijaz Dar, and two other persons were attacked by ‘cow vigilantes’ while they were transporting a buffalo for family use on a load carrier from Laam side near Nowshera in Rajouri. They were injured in the attack and were rushed to Government Medical College Hospital in Jammu, where Dar succumbed to his injuries.
