Srinagar, Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti has boldly called upon the Indian government to cease government-sponsored terrorism in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), especially following the controversial actions of August 5, 2019, and to resolve the Kashmir dispute.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mehbooba Mufti, in a passionate address to her party workers in Kupwara, raised slogans that directly challenge India’s claims over Jammu and Kashmir and its narrative of normalcy in the region. One prominent slogan, “Jis Kashmir ko Khoon say saincha, Wo Kashmir Hamara hai,” translated to “The Kashmir, which we nourished with our blood, is ours,” resonated powerfully among the audience.

Mufti’s other slogans, such as “Band karo band karo…Sarkari dahshat gardi band karo [Stop government-sponsored terrorism],” “khoon kharaba band karo [Stop bloodshed],” and “Hal karo hal karo…mas’ala Kashmir hal karo [Solve Kashmir problem],” were met with enthusiastic responses from her party workers, emphasizing their demand for a resolution to the longstanding issue.
