Karachi, 12 Oct 2023:In a meeting marked by discussions on urban infrastructure restoration and the criticality of harmonious federal and provincial governmental relations, Mayor of Karachi, Murtaza Wahab, met with Sindh Governor, Kamran Khan Tesori, at the Governor House. The dialogue, encompassing numerous key issues related to the city’s development and governance, emphasized the significance of mutual consultation and a unified approach among all stakeholders for addressing the city’s challenges, according to a press release from the Sindh Governor House.
Governor Tesori articulated the imperative of collective responsibility in enhancing the city’s aesthetics and overall condition. Furthermore, the discussions spanned several pertinent topics, including the revamp of Shahr Quaid’s infrastructure, the optimization of municipal facilities for citizens, and the fostering of close-knit and mutually beneficial relationships among Karachi’s municipalities and towns.
Governor Sindh advocated for the stakeholders to convene on a common ground concerning the development initiatives of the city, asserting that the multifaceted issues faced by the metropolis can be alleviated through collaborative consultations and coherent strategic actions.
