Karachi, In a key meeting at the Central Police Office, MD National Police Foundation M. Sabir Ahmed met with IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar to discuss various professional issues and the progress of ongoing initiatives. This visit underscores a collaborative effort towards enhancing the efficiency and welfare of the police force in Punjab.
According to Punjab Police, the meeting was centered around topics such as modern training, welfare, and efficiency of the police force. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar briefed MD National Police Foundation about the significant move of transferring police stations to the Special Initiative Protocol. He mentioned that by December 31, all police stations in the province are set to be upgraded to this new protocol, aiming to provide comprehensive facilities and services in a comfortable environment for policing.
Following the meeting, IG Punjab took MD National Police Foundation on a tour of the Race Course police station and police club. During the visit, Ahmed was informed about the ongoing developmental works and the construction of Special Initiative Police Stations.
Dr. Usman Anwar highlighted the Punjab Police’s commitment to providing housing for the families of all martyrs before 2017 and ensuring job placements in the police department for the children of these martyrs. He further mentioned that strategic steps are being taken for the health and education welfare of the police force and their children, along with focusing on career growth.
MD National Police Foundation, M Sabir Ahmed, commended the recent initiatives undertaken for the infrastructure and welfare of the police force. He affirmed that the National Police Foundation would continue its full support for the capacity building and welfare projects of the police force.
The meeting was also attended by several high-ranking officials, including Additional IG Welfare Riaz Nazir Gada, Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, and others, indicating a strong commitment to collaborative efforts for the betterment of the police force.
