Mayor Wahab Commemorates Benazir Bhutto, Emphasizes Democracy in Pakistan

Karachi, Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab honored the memory of Shaheed Ms. Benazir Bhutto, remarking on her significant contributions to Pakistan and her role in promoting democracy. He declared December 27 as the saddest day in Pakistan’s history, the day when the voice of democracy was silenced with her martyrdom.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Mayor Wahab reflected on the profound impact of Ms. Bhutto’s martyrdom, not only on Pakistan but also on the Islamic world. He described her as a brave woman who fought for the real freedom of the people and the strengthening of the state.

On the occasion of her death anniversary, Mayor Wahab affirmed that every worker of Ms. Benazir Bhutto pledges allegiance to Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He emphasized the commitment to continue Shaheed Bibi’s mission under the leadership of her son, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

Highlighting Ms. Bhutto’s philosophy, Mayor Wahab stated that the source of power in Pakistan is the people, and only the people. He pledged that every worker of the Pakistan People’s Party would continue their struggle until the state of Pakistan operates the constitution and law, and democracy is strengthened in the country.
