Mayor Pushes for Urgent Action on Lyari Transformation Project

Karachi: A meeting led by Mayor Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, focused on the Lyari Transformation Project, underscoring the initiative’s importance for the socio-economic and infrastructural development of Lyari, one of the city’s oldest areas.

The Mayor was briefed by a NESPAK representative on the project’s implementation plan. The presentation outlined urban renewal and improved civic amenities as key components.

Mayor Wahab stressed the need for quick and effective execution. He instructed the Project Director to complete the feasibility report promptly and initiate on-ground work. “The transformation of Lyari is not just a promise – it’s a priority,” he stated, emphasizing timely achievement of project milestones.

The meeting included Faheem Chachar, Project Director; Nasir Kareem, Town Chairman; Hammad Khan, Municipal Commissioner; and local elected representatives.
