Karachi, Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab unveiled plans to further enhance and preserve Denso Hall, an iconic historical building in Karachi. He emphasized the significance of safeguarding historical landmarks for upcoming generations and highlighted potential upgrades such as the introduction of a museum dedicated to Karachi, clearing encroachments around the site, and establishing a fire brigade corner.
According to a news release by the Media KMC, the Mayor articulated these sentiments during his inspection of the Denso Hall building on M.A Jinnah Road this Thursday. Accompanying him were Municipal Commissioner Syed Afzal Zaidi and other related officers. The visit provided the Mayor an opportunity to assess the various sections of Denso Hall and to evaluate prior renovation efforts made on both the interior and exterior facets of the structure.
Mayor Wahab acknowledged the preliminary preservation steps that have been instituted but emphasized that more enhancements are needed to truly elevate this historic venue. He championed the historic edifices of Karachi, describing them as the city’s invaluable heritage.
