Karachi: Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab has announced a series of development initiatives aimed at enhancing the city’s infrastructure and recreational facilities, including the inauguration of a modern Funland at Karachi Zoo.
According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Mayor Wahab revealed plans for issuing tenders for road construction across all seven districts of Karachi to expedite development and reduce delays. He highlighted that significant improvements would be seen in areas such as M.A Jinnah Road, Hub River Road, Malir, Korangi, and Ibrahim Hyderi. During the inauguration ceremony held at the zoo, which also featured a flag hoisting with school students at the Mughal Garden, Mayor Wahab outlined additional enhancements to the city’s green spaces. An Independence Day tree plantation campaign was launched to increase urban greenery and mitigate weather severity, with efforts including the development of urban forests and enhanced green belts.
