Karachi: Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab has expressed his delight over the academic achievements of government school students who have excelled in the matriculation examination. During a meeting held at his office, he announced special prizes for the top-performing students.
According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Hafiz Abdul Rafi, who secured the first position, will receive an iPhone, while Romesa Imran and Rukhsar, who secured the second and third positions respectively, will be awarded laptops. The meeting was attended by the students, their parents, matriculation board officers, and school headmasters.
Mayor Wahab congratulated the students on their success and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in their future endeavors. He expressed his willingness to support their aspirations for higher education abroad. Emphasizing the importance of maintaining the honor and dignity of their country, the Mayor highlighted that good and quality education is essential for societal progress. He acknowledged the efforts of parents who, despite limited resources, prioritize their children’s education, setting a commendable example for society. Mayor Wahab also stressed the crucial role of girls’ education in societal betterment and urged everyone to contribute to transforming the society into an educated and civilized community.
