Karachi, July 28, 2023 (PPI-OT): Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that the local bodies have completed the arrangements regarding Ashura Muharram, the azadaran-e-Imam Hussain will provide full municipal facilities on the 9th and 10th of Muharram, on various roads and procession the work of has carpeting has been completed, the problems of sewage around Imambargahs and mosques have also been resolved, he said this in a newspaper statement. He said that I myself and the chairmen of different towns are visiting different areas with the administration of Karachi, the series of meetings with scholars, zakirs, elders and organizers of processions are going on in Imambargahs and mosques to express the mutual brotherhood and solidarity and solve local problems quickly. Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that we ourselves are among the people and we are fully aware of the problems of the people.

Being the mayor, it is my duty to look after all the citizens irrespective of religion, sect or language and not only to protect their rights but also try to provide them civic facilities, Mayor Karachi said that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s directive is to try hard to maintain peace and order during the days of Muharram. Mayor Karachi said that Muharram al-Haram teaches us the lesson of sacrifice and accepting the will of Allah Ta’ala is the lesson of Hazrat Imam Hussain. He said that the martyrs of Karbala are great for all Muslims and keeping their sacrifices in front of us, we should spend Ashura Muharram with great devotion and love.

Mayor Karachi said that the entire municipal administration is active and I hope that during the days of Ashura, Azadaran-e-Hussain will not face any kind of inconvenience. He requested the organizers of the procession to pass the procession through the designated routes so that the security plans that have been prepared can be fully implemented. being closely monitored, he said that on 9th and 10th of Muharram, they will join the main procession to express solidarity with Azadaran-e-Hussain.
