Mastung Irrigation Employees Association Elects New Leadership, Pledges Continued Advocacy

Mastung: In a significant organizational move, the Irrigation Employees Association of District Mastung held a general body meeting, leading to the formation of a new leadership team committed to championing labor rights. The meeting, presided over by Mir Ahmed Baloch, concluded with the election of key association positions, signaling a continued commitment to addressing the welfare and demands of the workforce.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, a three-member election committee was established during the meeting at the Irrigation Office, which successfully elected Agha Naseer Shah as the Division President and Mir Ahmed Baloch as Division Chairman. Other prominent roles filled included Vice Chairman Shahjahan Kurd, Vice President Divisional Muhammad Ismail Shahwani, General Secretary Abdul Majeed, Deputy General Secretary Gul Sher, Coordination Secretary Samiul Haq, and Office Secretary Sher Yar.

Leaders of the association, including Mir Ahmed Baloch and Agha Naseer Shah, addressed the general body, emphasizing the historic role of the association in advocating for employee welfare. They highlighted the effective strategies employed in collaboration with the Grand Alliance to resolve issues such as salary adjustments and other critical demands of the labor force.

The newly elected cabinet assured members of their dedication to building upon the trust placed in them by the labor employees. They pledged to continue taking practical measures to resolve ongoing challenges and to maintain active involvement in enhancing the working conditions and rights of their members.
