Lahore: The orchestrator behind the May 9 riots has admitted to devising the disturbances, revealed Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif. The announcement outlined the involvement of an anarchist group in extensive attacks on state infrastructure and memorials.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the Chief Minister detailed the events and aftermath of May 9, describing Zaman Park as the operational hub for the culprits where they prepared for acts of sabotage, including making petrol bombs. The Chief Minister emphasized the scale of the orchestrated attacks, which targeted military installations and other significant sites.
The address further discussed the broader implications of these actions, including attempts to destabilize Pakistan’s economy and international relations. The Chief Minister asserted the necessity of stringent legal action against the group to safeguard national security, based on the evidence at hand.
