Massive Security Operations in Rajouri and Poonch Lead to Three Arrests

Jammu, In an extensive security operation in the forest areas of Rajouri and Poonch districts in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, three individuals were arrested. The operation, involving a coordinated effort between the Indian army, police, and the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force, is part of a larger effort to secure the region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the joint operations were launched in various parts of Budhal, Thanamandi, Sunderbani, and Kalakote in Rajouri, as well as Mendhar in Poonch. Officials disclosed that on Monday, three persons were detained for questioning from Barote in the Budhal area.

The operation also included searches in Muradpur, Bathuni, Ghai Bhawal, Tatta Pani Broh in Kalakote, Ghambir Mughlan in Manjakote, and Rajdhani-Thanamandi in Rajouri. Additionally, troops were engaged in operations in Gursai, Jabranwali Gali, Saruti, and Ari villages in the Mendhar sector of Poonch district.

These intensified searches in the twin districts follow a fierce gunbattle in the Dharmsal belt’s Bajimaal area of Rajouri on November 22 and 23, which resulted in the death of five troops, including two captains. The ongoing operations reflect a heightened security response in the wake of recent violent incidents in the area.
