Massive search operations continue in IIOJK

Srinagar, October 13, 2021 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops and sleuths of National Investigation Agency (NIA) continue their massive operations in different areas in the territory.

Indian troops and paramilitary personnel continued massive search operations at Surankote in Poonch district and in Thanamduni area of Rajouri district on the third consecutive day, today. The operations were launched after five Indian soldiers including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) were killed and several others injured in an attack in Surankote on Monday.

The troops have also been carrying out cordon and search operations in different areas of Srinagar, Shopian, Pulwama, Islamabad, and Baramulla and Bandipore districts for the last eight days.

On the other hand, India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) along with personnel of Indian army, paramilitary, and police, military intelligence (MI), Intelligence Bureau (IB), Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and Counter Insurgency Kashmir (CIK) raided several houses and terrorized people in Srinagar, Shopian, Pulwama, Baramulla and other areas.

Meanwhile, Indian police defused a live mortar shell in Beerwah area of Badgam district. The shell is an old one and had apparently been swept down from nearby Tosamaidan firing-rang, a police officer said.
