Srinagar, November 12, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement and Jammu and Kashmir Employees Movement have condemned the massive human rights violations by Indian troops in the territory.
The JKMM information secretary, Shabbir Ahmad in a statement in Srinagar said that the United Nations had passed several resolutions on Kashmir but the lingering dispute was yet to be resolved. He said the Indian forces have detained thousands of Kashmiri youth under black laws including Public Safety Act (PSA) and conduct raids on the residences of the resistance leaders but they will never succeed in suppressing the Kashmir freedom movement.
He urged the world community to impress upon India to stop massive rights abuses by its troops in IIOJK. He also appealed to the United Nations to resolve the lingering Kashmir dispute according to its resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
The JKEM spokesman in a statement in Srinagar deplored that killing, arrest and harassment of youth by Indian troops have become a routine matter in IIOJK. He said India has converted the occupied territory into a military camp but miserably failed to subdue the Kashmiris’ freedom sentiment. The people of the territory would continue their struggle for securing right to self-determination till it reached its logical conclusion, he added.
The spokesman said, the Kashmiri people reject the illegal and unilateral actions of August 05, 2019, including the repeal of Kashmir’s special status by Modi-led fascist Indian government. He deplored that India, which claims to be the largest democracy of the world, is involved in the worst kind of human rights abuses in IIOJK.
