Massive Fire in Kupwara Destroys Over 30 Shops and a House

Kupwara, A devastating fire in the Kupwara district of Indian illegally occupied Kashmir has resulted in the destruction of more than 30 shops and a residential house. The blaze, which erupted in the early hours of Thursday, has caused significant damage to the local community.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the fire originated from a structure owned by Haji Abul Ghani Dar in the Dar Gali area of the district and quickly spread to an adjacent shopping complex. The intensity of the blaze led to the gutting of over 30 commercial establishments and a residential property in the vicinity.

Fire and Emergency Services personnel were quick to respond to the incident. An employee involved in the firefighting efforts stated that their immediate action led to the successful rescue of a family affected by the fire. Fortunately, there were no injuries or loss of life reported in the incident, as per the employee’s account.

The local police have acknowledged the incident and are currently investigating to ascertain the cause of the fire. This incident underscores the importance of fire safety measures, especially in densely populated areas with commercial complexes.
