Thiruvananthapuram, In a significant operation, the Kerala Police uncovered over 770 kilograms of explosives at the residences of a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader and his relative in Kerala, India, raising concerns over potential illegal activities and security in the region.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the police action targeted the homes of RSS leader Vadakayil Pramod and Vadakayil Shanta in Poyiloor, Kannur district. The operation, led by Kolavalloor Police Inspector Sumeet Kumar and Sub-Inspector Sobin, was based on confidential information that culminated in the seizure of this large quantity of explosives.
The authorities have registered two cases relating to this find and have begun legal proceedings to investigate and curb the illegal distribution of such dangerous materials. This seizure has particularly alarmed the community given its timing before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, prompting intensified security measures to ensure public safety.
