Mass killings betrays lawless state of affairs in IIOJK: APHC

New Delhi, June 16, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference strongly condemning the gross human rights abuses by Indian forces has said that the presence of more than one million forces’ personnel speaks volumes about the horrifying situation prevailing in the territory.

APHC In-charge Women Wing, Yasmeen Raja, in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed her grave concern over the use of brute force against the civil population peacefully demanding their inalienable right to self-determination. She said that a civilian Manzoor Ahmad was taken into custody by the forces in the broad daylight and killed before the agitating people at Sopore in Baramulla district, while the other two civilians were killed by opening indiscriminate fire on the protesters.

Under the shield of draconian laws, the occupation forces in Kashmir enjoy the freedom of unaccountability before any legal institution, she added. Mass killings with impunity is a direct effect of a lawless state of affairs while the subjugated Kashmiri people are living a miserable life confronted with a naked dance of death in the nook and corner of the occupied territory, the statement maintained.

The APHC leader urged the United Nations Human Rights Council and other world human rights organizations to take an appropriate action against the Indian fascist regime perpetrating widespread human rights abuses in IIOJK. She also urged the United Nations Secretary General to address the Kashmir dispute in the light of UN Security Council resolutions to prevent the genocide in Kashmir at the hands of Indian forces as early as possible.
