Srinagar, February 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, incarcerated Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Masarrat Aalam Butt, has expressed gratitude to the people and government of Pakistan for their continued moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris’ legitimate and indigenous struggle for securing freedom from Indian illegal and forcible occupation.
Masarrat Aalam Butt in a letter from New Delhi’s notorious Tihar jail addressed to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, said the subdued people of Kashmir are living a hellish life under the yoke of Indian imperialism. He added that the worst kind of genocide perpetrated by over one million Indian forces in IIOJK is a matter of grave concern for those people who yearn to see it from the prism of humanity.
He said that observance of Solidarity Day on 5th February every year by Pakistan was a resolve to support the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle at national and international level. Pakistan as an important party to the Kashmir dispute is playing its sincere and rightful role to peacefully resolve the lingering dispute, he maintained.
The APHC Chairman said Pakistan as a responsible nuclear power supports right to self-determination as a democratic and peaceful formula to settle the dispute as guaranteed by the United Nations Security Council resolutions on Kashmir.
The people of Kashmir are highly thankful to Pakistan for its sincere support and succor to Kashmir cause, Masarrat Aalam Butt concluded.
Meanwhile, APHC leader, Abdul Samad Inqilabi, in a statement issued in Srinagar hailed the sincere and pragmatic approach of Pakistani government and people to highlight the Kashmir dispute globally. He said February 5 is observed all over the world by the people of Kashmir and Pakistan as Kashmir Solidarity Day. He said that the people of Kashmir would continue their freedom struggle till it reached its logical conclusion.
APHC-AJK chapter leader, Imtiaz Wani, in his statement in Islamabad said the sacrifices and efforts of Pakistan for the right to self-determination of people of Kashmir are unforgettable. As an important party to the dispute, he said, Pakistan from day one has made efforts to get it resolved in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
