Birmingham, Mehmood Ahmad Saghar, the Convener of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter, has emphasized the unparalleled sacrifices of the martyrs as an invaluable cornerstone of the Kashmir freedom movement, asserting the region’s people’s dedication to fulfilling their mission.
According to a news release by Kashmir Media Service, Kashmir Media Service reported that during an event in Rawalpindi commemorating veteran Hurriyat leaders Syed Ali Gilani, Shaheed Sheikh Abdul Aziz, Shaheed S. Hameed, and Sheikh Tajammul-ul-Islam, Saghar drew comparisons between the situations in Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He noted the shared struggles of the oppressed Palestinians and Kashmiris, who have long experienced the impacts of state-based terrorism.
Leaders from the APHC-AJK chapter, including Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoob and Syed Ijaz Rehmani, also voiced their disapproval of the recent surge of Israeli actions against Palestinians and highlighted the challenges faced by Kashmiris. They emphasized the importance of unity and harmony in counteracting adversarial strategies.
