Ranchi, 16 Oct 2023: In a sudden escalation of violence in the volatile Jharkhand state, an attack by Maoist guerrillas resulted in the death of four Indian paramilitary and police personnel, with an additional 28 injured.
As reported by the Kashmir Media Service, the incident took place during a cordon and search operation initiated by Indian forces in the Kolhan-Chaibasa region. The Maoists used landmines and subsequently opened fire on the forces in the Hucipi area of Kolhan.
Additionally, several Maoists sustained injuries in the confrontation, including a minor. The critically injured minor was later apprehended in the nearby forest.
