Islamabad, August 19, 2021 (PPI-OT):The Vice President of Jammu and Kashmir Ummat-e-Islami and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Falah Party, Syed Manzoor Ahmad Shah, has strongly condemned the arrest of his younger brother, Syed Mohammad Abdullah Shah, by Indian police in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The police along with Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) arrested Syed Mohammad Abdullah Shah and three other persons in a fake case registered against them, last year. Syed Manzoor Ahmad Shah in a statement issued in Islamabad said that the purpose of the fake case was to malign them and prevent them from playing their role in the Kashmiris’ ongoing struggle for securing their right to self-determination.

He said that the Indian forces’ personnel had broken the records of false allegations against innocent Kashmiris, adding that Kashmiri youth were being killed in so-called encounters and cordon and search operations (CASOs) on daily basis.

Syed Manzoor Ahmad Shah deplored that thousands of Hurriyat leaders and freedom-loving people had been languishing in different jails of India and the territory. He added that the detainees were being victimized for their affiliation with the freedom movement. He said the people of Kashmir would continue their struggle till it reached its logical conclusion.

Meanwhile, the spokesman of Tehreek-e-Fikr-o-Aiteqad, in a statement issued in Srinagar also denounced the arrest of the brother of Syed Manzoor Ahmad Shah in IIOJK. He said that the Indian media had also started their vilification campaign to put pressure on the Hurriyat leaders to force them to give up the Kashmir cause.
