Manipur landslide toll rises to 42, rains affect search for missing soldiers, civilians 

Imphal, July 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):In India, toll in Manipur landslide rose to 42, including 27 Indian Territorial army personnel, as eight more bodies were recovered from the debris, while 20 are still missing. The natural catastrophe hit Indian Territorial Army’s 107 camp in Noney district on Wednesday night near the Tupul yard railway construction site of the Indian state. Twenty people are still missing with heavy rains and fresh landslides impeding the search operations. The Territorial Army is deployed in the area to provide security to the men busy in railway construction work.
