Mandatory CNIC Requirement for Exam Candidates Clarified

Lahore: The Public Service Commission Punjab has issued new guidelines mandating the production of a valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) for candidates appearing in written examinations. This requirement aims to streamline the identification process during exams.

According to a statement by Public Service Commission Punjab, candidates who do not possess a valid CNIC may still be granted provisional entry. This is contingent upon presenting one of the following alternative documents: an original CNIC that expired not more than six months before the examination date, an original valid passport, or an original Computerized Domicile Certificate bearing the candidate’s picture.

The Commission emphasized that these measures are essential to maintain orderly conduct and ensure proper identification of all candidates. The Venue Incharge at each examination center will be responsible for verifying these documents and granting provisional access where necessary.
