Islamabad, August 02, 2022 (PPI-OT):Managing Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) Amir Fida Paracha called on Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah. In this meeting held at Chief Minister’s House in Karachi, the practical measures for the relief and rehabilitation of torrential rains affected people were reviewed.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah said the houses on the right bank of the river have been collapsed due to heavy rains. He told that Qamber, Shahdad Kot and Dadu are also suffered severe damage due to rains; Sindh government has provided ration for 15 days to the displaced people.
Chief Minister Sindh also felt the need for PBM support to provide relief to displaced persons. Managing Director PBM, Amir Fida Paracha assured to provide all the possible help to the families affected by the heavy rains and also issued instructions to the staff to visit the affected areas. Managing Director PBM, said that till now 5 shelter homes have been established in Karachi where around 500 poor, labourers and daily wage earners are living. He said that effective measures are also being taken for free treatment of deserving and poor patients.
