Jammu, A man who had been missing since September 29, 2023, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the forest area of Manthal in Kathua district. The deceased, identified as Ajit Kumar, was discovered hanging from a tree, leading his family to allege that his death was a case of murder.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Ajit Kumar, a resident of Dinga Aamb Dabi Kathua and a driver by profession, had last been seen when he went to Tikri with friends. Following a car accident there, while his friends returned home, Kumar stayed behind to get the car repaired.
The discovery of Kumar’s decomposed body in a forest area has raised suspicions among his family members, who have called for a thorough police investigation into the circumstances of his death. The body was subsequently taken to Udhampur District Hospital for further examination.
This incident has caused considerable concern among the local community, highlighting the need for a comprehensive investigation to ascertain the facts surrounding Ajit Kumar’s untimely death.
