Malaysian High Commissioner Advocates for $12 Billion Trade Target with Pakistan

Islamabad, Malaysian High Commissioner to Pakistan Mohammad Azhar Bin Mazlan has advocated for a substantial increase in bilateral trade with Pakistan, targeting up to $12 billion.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a speech at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the High Commissioner highlighted the current trade volume as being below the potential of the two nations. He pointed out significant growth opportunities in the halal industry for both Malaysia and Pakistan and called on the private sector to actively engage and take concrete steps toward this goal. The High Commissioner assured that Malaysia is ready to support Pakistan in becoming a regional hub for the halal industry.
