Islamabad: General Tan Sri Hj Mohd Nizam bin Hj Jaffar, Chief of Defence Forces Malaysia, discussed growing global and regional security issues with General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), during an official visit to Pakistan. The meeting took place at Joint Staff Headquarters, Rawalpindi.
The two military chiefs examined potential collaborations in defence and security, emphasizing mutual benefits. They reiterated their dedication to enhance military ties, considering the changing regional security landscape.
General Jaffar commended the Pakistan Armed Forces for their professionalism, accomplishments, and sacrifices in combating terrorism, acknowledging their contributions to regional peace and stability.
A formal Guard of Honour was presented to the Malaysian Defence Chief upon his arrival at the Joint Staff Headquarters.
