Islamabad: Islamabad Police achieved significant success in a recent bank dacoity case with the arrest of a suspect involved in the crime. DIG Islamabad, Syed Ali Raza, announced the development during a press conference at the Rescue-15 office.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the suspect was apprehended along with the stolen cash, weapons with ammunition, and the motorcycle used in the dacoity. Islamabad Police CIA and CTD teams worked for five days to track down the accused, Suliman. Utilizing human resources, Safe City cameras, digital surveillance, and data analysis, they successfully located and arrested the suspect. The DIG noted that the suspect had previously been charged in Punjab for similar offenses.
DIG Syed Ali Raza emphasized that Islamabad Police are responsible for the security of every citizen, home, and office in the capital. He highlighted a decrease in the city’s crime rate and assured continued efforts to further improve public safety.
Furthermore, in recognition of their dedication, IGP Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, announced commendation certificates and cash rewards for the police teams involved in the operation.
